Opting for Fairtrade Gold translates to equitable compensation for the hard work of small-scale miners, empowering them to enhance their lives and communities. Workers in mines certified by Fairtrade receive an assured Fairtrade Minimum Price for their endeavours.

The Fairtrade Gold Standard enforces stringent criteria concerning labour conditions, safety, chemical handling, women’s rights, prohibition of child labour, and preservation of the environment including forests and water sources.
